words) My friend Mary called this am to tell me her husband removed the O2 and
IV this morning and she and her daughters will wait with him at home to see what
his end will be. The non-Hodgkin's lymphoma has taken this family thru a
roller-coaster year with ups and downs of bad tests, good tests and much need
for prayer. They are all tired. Pray Mary, Sondra Alyssa and Phil
(the husband/father) are all comforted and given peace by their Savior and keep
their eyes on Him to see what He will do. All I can do is cry with them
and thank God for their time together. Halleluyah and may we continue to praise
Him!

Thank you so much for your help! I saw my brother this evening and he seems a
little better. His respirator settings have been weaned....he is down from 100%
oxygen to 80% oxygen but still requires volume and pressure. He has leukemia,
and his kidneys and heart are failing.

saved (she does not live close to me so I normally don't get much of a chance

(Lora's words) Scans came back neg. so the Dr. told us that he is half
relieved. He is taking all of my scans to the radiologist and they both
will discuss together what to do with me. We are pretty sure he still
wants a bone and another thyroid biop. He says that I'm not out of the
woods yet. So please contunue to keep me in your prayers. (boy I
never thought that I would be asking for this favor again) Once he gets
all test done and all info gathered we will be asking for a second opinion. We
are looking at _________ in TX. Mike and I just want to thank you for all of
your prayers. 10/30/08

words) I would like to ask you to pray once again for my friend Pam in
Tennessee. She is 52 years old and her kidneys are failing. She has been on
kidney dialysis 3 times a week for quite some time and really needs a kidney
transplant. I did find out today that she is on the National Transplant List.
Since that is for the entire country, it is hard telling when she might get a
kidney. But as I told her aunt Nancy, I've seen God work miracles when His
people have bound together to pray. Pam is a Christian but understandably gets
very discouraged the longer this goes on. She knows that God can touch and
heal in an instant. She also knows that He may choose to have her go through the
transplant in order to receive her healing. She just wants an answer, whatever
it takes. So please pray that God will meet this need in whatever way He sees
fit to and SOON! I appreciate it and I know that she does too!

words) Thank you for asking about Sam. He was shot in the head while fighting
the Talaban in Afghanistan. We have seen miracle after miracle with him. He
should have died, he should have had massive brain damage, he should not have
been able to recognize what we say to him (the bullet fragment passed through
his speech and speech recognition center), he should not be able to talk, and
he should not be able to move the right side of his body (his brain bled for 9
hours before they could get him into surgery and so he had a stroke). He is
talking, but not normally yet. He has trouble with basic math, and he cannot
move his right hand, but a month ago he could not move his right arm at all,
and two months ago he could not speak or move any of the right side of his
body, and now he can. We are SO thankful to God for his life. He loves God,
and loves our country. We are continuing to pray for him and ask for more

all my friends and family over the last few months times have been very hard for
me and my family members…. I willl be gone for 3-4 days starting tomorrow the
10th for the next few days…. I will be getting the defib/heart pacemaker
install at the Shands VA Hospital…. Along will several other tests and
procedures… this is something that I need to do after deciding many years ago
I wouold not be resuscitated after the intitonal life threatening issue…I
don't want to extend my live after the heart stops…. Don't want feeding tubes
and or prolonging medical tech…. So for now I will be off line, and if I live
through the health procedures… that will begin on the tenth and be completed
the 13th please do not try to call or email me during this time as it will do no
good……. Remember I am greatfull to have the family and friends that have
stuck with me for the last few months…. But the crunch time has come about and
as best I can I have prepared myself for the coming event…. Chances are I will
be able to email you all on the 13th…

words) Please pray for this young mother of two teens, Debbie. She is a
divorcee and has malignant cancer. She has been taking chemotherapy for
about a month and has been fitted for a wig. This has been very hard on
her, as she is only in her 30's. This past month she has had her electricity
turned off because she can't pay her bills, since having to quit work.
Now she has been threatened with eviction as well. My two eldest children
helped to have a benefit auction for her, in an effort to help her to keep her
house and get her lights back on, as well as to help her to try to get through
the bills coming up to be paid. I haven't heard yet how well they did. All I
can do is pray the Lord blessed their efforts. Please join me in keeping
this precious family in our prayers, as they have a long hard road ahead of
them and will need many prayers. Thank you all so very much! Just a quick note
to say, "Praise the Lord!", the benefit auction was a great success.
They were able to raise enough to catch Debbie up on her bills, stock up on
groceries for her and her children, and more! We have such an awesome God!
Please continue to pray for them, as they have a long road ahead of them. My
heart is breaking though, because Debbie asked my eldest son and daughter to
be her Pall bearers, yesterday. This is tearing my children's hearts out, as
they have become so close to Debbie and her children. and my heart is
wrenching with pain and sorrow for them all.

Update:
(Tina's words) Thank you ALL for
your prayers. Jeremy was actually put into a padded cell and
wasn't allowed visitors for a while because he had tried to get out of
the psychiatric unit. It certainly seemed more like a prison than
a place to heal. I sent your email Peggy to his mother so she
would know that a lot of Christians were praying for her son. It
was rumoured that they were going to keep him for the full month
(legally they cannot hold him longer than that). She phoned me
crying and I reminded her that we were all praying for a positive
outcome. Hallelujah, Jesus is Lord, Jeremy was suddenly released
yesterday. His psychiatrist agreed that the psychiatric ward
wasn't the place for him and he put him on medication and will see him
again in 10 days.......what a miracle........He even said to his mother
that he had a guardian angel........Please continue to pray for his
salvation.........Bless you all and I will keep you updated.

am sending this on as an update to the situation with Casey and his
battle with this dreaded disease. Just to cover this from the get
go, Casey is doing well thus far and they have changed the gauze several
times now. So far there are no additional infections, nor is there
apparent evidence that they did not get all of it. Praise the
Lord! We are not out of the woods yet and there is a long ways to
go, but praise God for his protection thus far. The wound is still
open and will be for some time to ensure they got it all. I am
unsure as to the amount of time this will take but will update you if
anything changes I
have learned a lot in the last few days about this bacteria and hearing
that this new strain of bacteria is now killing more people in the
USA
than HIV is simply staggering. I have also learned that what Casey
has is not simply the necrotizing fasciitus(Flesh Eating bacterium), it
is the MRSA drug resistant bacterium aka “methicillin-resistant
Staphylococcus aureu. According to scientists, MRSA is striking
31.8 out of every 100,000 Americans, which translates to 94,360 cases
and 18,650 deaths nationwide. In comparison, complications from the AIDS
virus killed about 12,500 Americans in 2005. The infection is most
common among African Americans and the elderly, but also commonly
strikes very young children. So to say this is severe is an
understatement… Thank
you to all that have responded and please continue to pray for Casey and
his family as they go through this most difficult time. When I hear
anything new, I will most certainly put it out there, but for now things
are looking as best as we could hope for…
Update:
(John's words) Awesome news everyone. As most of you know, Casey,
Kyle’s son, has been receiving treatment for this MRSA Flesh eating
bacteria. As I stated in my earlier e-mails, this bacteria
apparently does not respond to any known medicines/antibiotics. The
doctors simply had to hope they had cut all the infected tissue out.
Otherwise they would have to continue removing tissue surgically
until they eliminated all of it. As you will see in the e-mail
from his Uncle below, it seems that they did, in fact, get all of it on
the first go around and Casey is making a full recovery… Praise
the Lord!!! Thanks to everyone who prayed over this young man…

(Darla/Ed's words) The latest on Aaron is that he has a Schwannoma
tumor on the Vegus nerve and Dr. Zadansky in Chapel Hill wants to remove
it before it grows into the brain stem or chest area. This is a very
rare tumor for an adult to have let alone a child,and it's in a very
rare area. Jason asked where they could take Aaron for the surgery, as
in who has done the most and is the best surgeon, and bottom line is
there have only been a handful of these surgeries done and Dr. Zadansky
is as good as any! Before surgery is scheduled Dr. Zadansky wants a
third opinion from a Dr. at Baptist Hospital and if this Dr. agrees with
all the findings to date they will then schedule surgery. Right now
Chapel Hill is trying to get this third opinion moved up from the
current date of July 29th. They will not know until they get inside if
this growth is on the side of the nerve or surrounding the mass. Aaron
asked his mommy why God hadn't taken this away from him? Her answer was
that she didn't know but that maybe because God knows how brave he is
that one day down the road there will be another little boy or girl who
has this same tumor and they can call Aaron and he can tell them it's

for Aaron's mail but Jason and Gina could use all the strength,love and
support we all can give them.
