Here I Am, Lord, Send Me

You
say to Him, "My life's too busy,
I've no time for You, don't You see?"
When you ought to be saying instead,
"Here I am, Lord, please send me!"
What
if He told you the same and
when you needed, He couldn't be found;
how do you think you'd handle that,
if you called, and He wasn't around?
Or
if He told you, "Do it yourself,
I've much better things to do!"?
Wouldn't it hurt that He didn't have time
to handle life's crises for you?
Don’t
wait to be asked to act for Him,
let the Spirit lead you along;
be prepared to give of yourself,
and you never will go wrong.
He’s
always there to help us through,
He’s only a quick prayer away;
and if you’ll ask Him to use you,
you might just brighten someone’s day!
So
when the Lord God has a need to fill,
and He’s somewhere for you to be,
when He asks, “Whom shall I send?”
answer, “Here I am, Lord, send me!”
