Dr. Seuss YouTubes

I've always thought Dr. Seuss' poems/stories were hilarious, so I thought I'd share some of them with you that I found on YouTube.  Some are complete, others are just clips.  Click on each thumbnail for a larger image. Enjoy!  Peg

Green Eggs & Ham
Sam-I-am won't give up! He keeps trying to get the grumpy grown-up in the story to taste green eggs and ham. No matter how Sam-I-am presents the green eggs and ham (in a box, with a fox, in the rain, on a train), the curmudgeon refuses to try them. Finally, Sam-I-am's pesky persistence pays off. A crowd of open-mouthed onlookers watch in suspense as the old grouch takes a bite. And? ...SAY! The old sourpuss's face is wreathed in smiles as he gratefully acknowledges, "I do so like green eggs and ham. Thank you, thank you, Sam-I-am!"

Star-Bellied Sneetches, Part 1

Star-Bellied Sneetches, Part 2

"The Star-Bellied Sneetches have bellies with stars, but the Plain-Bellied Sneetches have none upon thars!" Rivalries rocket when Sylvester McMonkey McBean steps in to prey on their prejudices, but in the end we realize that prejudice is nothing more than a ridiculous waste of time.

The Zax
"The Zax" is a lesson about the importance of compromise. In the story a North-going Zax and a South-going Zax meet face to face in the Prairie of Prax. Because they refuse to move east, west, or any direction except their respective headings, the two Zax become stuck, as they refuse to move around each other. The Zax stand so long that eventually a highway overpass is built around them, and the story ends with the Zax still standing there.
