Christianity's Not a Religion

Folks ask me if I’m religious,
I say, “No, I just believe in the Lord;
Jesus, the name by which we’re saved;
and eternal life’s my reward!”

Christianity’s not a religion,
it’s a chosen way of life.
It’s not particularly easy,
in fact, it’s full of strife.

People attack you from every which way,
the demons of Satan attack, too.
But you never have to go it alone
if the Spirit of God lives in you.

But my Lord doesn’t ask me to buy His love,
it was a free gift He gave to me.
He only asks that I love him, too,
and I’ll be with Him for eternity!
