Before the Rapture
by Ben Segrest, 6/2/08
Having just returned from my short trip I wanted
to remind everyone that when God shuts down the light of the sun for a few
days it will be a time of warning for us to be alert as well as an opportunity
to help save family and friends. Just
as Noah was told to get his family on the boat and Lot was told to get his
family out of Sodom, we will need to make sure that our family and friends
call upon Jesus and ask Him to fill them with the Holy Spirit so that they
will be taken in the soon coming Rapture when Pentecost if fully come.
I believe that our normal communication channels
will be open to us and that artificial light can still be used during the
darkened days. After the dark
days are over the sun will return to normal and life can continue as usual but
to those who belong to Jesus it will be time to shut down life on this earth
and watch and wait.
Anyone who has anything in this life that they
want to take with them or preserve for future use will not be taken in the
Rapture; this would not apply to families with children under the age of
accountability who would want their children to go with them.
I think we will be able to eat and talk and go places just as Jesus did
when feeding His disciples after His resurrection.
We need to remember that many if not most people
will prefer to stay on this earth and will not want to be Raptured even though
the darkened sun should have been sufficient evidence that God is in charge.
So, let me encourage you to live life as you
normally do until God darkens the sun for two or three days.
After that, and even now, you can spend your time “snatching some out
of the fire” until the Rapture.
